Log Line and Synopsis

Log Line:

When a deceitful young man pursues one of his guests, he learns she is there for more than just a good time but for vengeance. He must fight for his life or risk losing a limb.

Synopsis:

The narrative begins with a montage in a loft with rose petals on the floor and half eaten dinner in the living room. There is a loud scream coming from the bedroom. It then cuts to Mandla, the protagonist who is getting ready for a friendly visit from his best friend, Katlego and her newly acquainted friend, Siya. When they arrive, Mandla finds himself fond of Siya. His attempt to court her begins. While entertaining his guests, Mandla receives an image of a girl with bruises from an anonymous account that’s linked to a trending topic, #TheList,  about men that are being exposed for being abused towards females. He blocks the account and focuses his attention towards Siya. Drinks start flowing and Katlego initiates a game of Truth or Dare. Mandla is uncomfortable about it but Siya persuades him to play. Katlego then heads to the bathroom and Siya dares him to take her on a tour around his home. Mandla then takes Siya to his bedroom. Siya becomes persuasive and dares Mandla to handcuff himself to the bed. Things take a dark turn when Siya’s demeanor changes. Siya starts accusing Mandla for physically abusing women. Mandla is in denial of the accusations. Katlego then walks in and Mandla begs her to save him but she knows the truth about what he did to Nomsa and grabs a box full of his indiscretions and reveals she is the owner of the anonymous account. Katlego then hands Siya a cigar cutter. What will happen to Mandla and will it ruin his potential careeer as a surgeon?
